Swedish cops are on the look-out for a quintet of tattooed girls who dragged a 50-year-old man off his bicycle, pulled down his trousers and smalls and "sexually molested" the poor bloke.

Having had their evil way, the five assailants made good their escape. The man was "not otherwise beaten or physically assaulted".

I've heard a lot of guys now consider visiting Sweden to "hunt down" those evil outlaws.

Taiwan consumer regulators have ordered Dell to honor an online pricing error that offered 19-inch LCD monitors for only NT$500 (US$15).

Dell has been ordered to make good on the erroneous price for customers who placed an order on one monitor and offer diminishing discounts on additional monitors ordered.

Although it's a Dell, the price is ok.

Skype was pushed onto Apple's iPhone at the instigation of the VoIP app's corporate owner eBay, the Reg can exclusively reveal - in order to reap huge sums from government listening agencies interested in spying on Jesus-mobe-toting terrorists.

When news broke recently that America's NSA was offering "billions" to any company which could offer a bona-fide solution for Skype eavesdropping, unscrupulous tat-bazaar overlords saw their chance at last.

If only today wasn't April 1.

This pistol-packing granny, who shot a man she accused of mugging her in her wheelchair, wishes she had finished the job -- because now, he's suing her for millions.

"I'm a peaceful person. I wish that I had killed him," said Margaret Johnson, 59, whose grandfather, Ellsworth "Bumpy" Johnson, once ruled Harlem's underworld and was immortalized in several hit movies.

"I'm not spending a dime on that son-of-a-bitch," she said. "This boils my blood. Why is he picking on me again?"

PayPal Charges $81,400,836,908 For $26 Tank Of Gas

Unsurprisingly, PayPal saw nothing wrong with the charge and demanded that Juan prove that he didn't actually buy $81.4 billion worth of gas.

"Somebody from a foreign country who spoke in broken English argued with me for 10 to 15 minutes," Zamora said. "'Did you get the gas?' he asked. Like I had to prove that I didn't pump $81,400,836,908 in gas!"

Eventually, Zamora said, he was finally able to convince the representative that he didn't deserve to be in the same position as General Motors, who has lost roughly 80 billion dollars since 2005.

Paypal just has a horrible customer service. Those who never had problems, pray that it will stay like this. They will lock up your account for no special reason, argue with you and do everything to be a royal pain. They refuse official documents as proof, but trust printouts which have no legal basis. I sure won't sign up there after all the catastrophic experiences I've witnessed (and read about).

The 29 students of a computing class at a school in Lincolnshire have all failed to gain their diploma because their teacher told them to save their coursework in Microsoft Word format, which is not accepted by the exam board.

As many commenters have pointed out, it does appear harsh to fail a whole class for their teachers' mistake when rectifying it would very likely have been the work of minutes.

Win or fail? You decide.

It took 90 minutes to 'steal' the Empire State Building

The News swiped the 102-story Art Deco skyscraper by drawing up a batch of bogus documents, making a fake notary stamp and filing paperwork with the city to transfer the deed to the property.

Less than 90 minutes after the bogus documents were submitted on Monday, the agency rubber-stamped the transfer from Empire State Land Associates to Nelots Properties LLC. Nelots is "stolen" spelled backward.

Now you own it, now you don't.

Woman out $400K to 'Nigerian scam' con artists

Spears fell victim to the "Nigerian scam," which is familiar to almost anyone who has ever had an e-mail account.

All you need to do is send X-amount of dollars to pay some fees and all that cash will suddenly land in your checking account, putting you on Easy Street. By the way, please send the funds though an untraceable wire service.

They sent official-looking documents and certificates from the Bank of Nigeria and even from the United Nations. Her payment was "guaranteed."

When Spears began to doubt the scam, she got letters from the President of Nigeria, FBI Director Mueller, and President Bush. Terrorists could get the money if she did not help, Bush's letter said.

An undercover investigator who worked on the case said greed helped blind Spears to the reality of the situation, which he called the worst example of the scam he's ever seen.

There's really not much one can say without totally insulting her intelligence. The only bad part is that she also ruined the life of her husband and not just her own.

Alleged Hackers Charged With Highway Robbery, Literally

For over three years the Russian immigrants repeatedly hacked a Department of Transportation website called Safersys.org.

There, the pair would temporarily change the contact information for a legitimate trucking company to an address and phone number under their control.

But instead of transporting the load, Lakes and Berkovich would outsource the job to another trucking company, the feds say, posing as the legitimate company whose identity they'd hijacked. Once the cargo was delivered, the men allegedly invoiced their customer and pocketed the funds.

Now that's a creative business model. It's pretty surprising though that this worked for three years and nobody noticed. That gives the safersys.org domain name quite a funny taste.

Woman, 89, arrested for refusing to return ball

An 89-year-old woman has been arrested in the US for refusing to give back a ball a child had kicked into her garden.

The boy's mother, Kelly Tanis, said Mrs Jester had taken balls from her five children before, so she called the police.

"This time it was a ball that my son had just bought with his own money. He works and he makes his own money, and he bought that ball, and six days later she took it."

Well, that boy better learns early that life isn't all sweet and dandy. And since this wasn't the first time it happened, I'm tempted to say that Kelly's kids have at least some sort of reputation in the neighbourhood.
